Home insurance but not fully moving I

Hi guys.

So I will be purchasing a house and completing soon. As part of the exchange we need to get insurance. Now we won’t be able to full move in due to the virus and we need help to move In which we can’t get atm. Now we can go and prep the house for decorating as it is empty and has been for months. I am wondering what do you in regards to insurance as I would usually say it’s occupied day and night. But obviously won’t be there at night as only there to decorate.

Any help would be great.

Does it make much difference to the quote? I would just play safe.

The point is there's no harm in putting the "riskier" option down on the proposal form. If it makes a big difference to the premium (or they refuse to provide cover) then you may of course want to look at other options, but it's pretty normal for a new home not to know e.g. whether the locks comply with certain standards, and so on. Might only mean paying a few quid more on the premium.
