WTC - my payments haven't increased...?

Hello - I was expecting my Working Tax Credit payments to go up by the said £20 per week from 6th April, but apart from a small £2 increase (the yearly up-rate as expected) nothing else has happened. Does anyone know if the start date has changed or if I got it completely wrong in the first place? Thanks!

Yes it's from 6th April but tax credits are paid in arrears so it could be a few weeks until you receive the extra money. Check your payments here. https://www.gov.uk/manage-your-tax-credits

Ah thank you, I didn't realise I could check online! I knew it was in arrears but was thinking it was a week or fortnight LOL. Thanks!

Oh dear. It's not letting me view anything, just keeps taking me back to the same page of multiple choices.

You need to register for an account before you check. HMRC may not have updated payments yet.

Yes I have an account as that's how I update my yearly declaration. The site just wouldn't let me go past the What do you want to do page. I submitted a report anyway, see what they say.

You should be able to see what your future payments are.

My payments are due to increase from 6th May. The tax credits office told me that they are hoping that everyone who is due the increase will have been updated by 18th May.0

When first logged in I get "Tax Credits Summary" where I can check declaration or make changes. So I click Check Declaration, which gives me 4 choices:I want to report changes that happened between 6 April 2019 and 5 April 2020There are no changes to the details in my packI do not have my renewal packI want to view or update my current tax creditsI click the 4th option. It takes me back to the "Tax Credits Summary".It just gave me a live chat box, so I will try that.
