Claim rail refund London NorthWestern Railway - online

I am trying to claim a refund online for a cancelled train. I have a day return ticket but when I try to claim online it directs me to a Season ticket holders page where they charge you £10 for claiming. Has anyone claimed online with an advanced day return ticket with success? Hope someone can help.
