How did she pay and how much was it?

More to the point, what is the name of the firm?

Hi just over £350 by cheque, Travel Wright Ltd, Newark. I've checked on their website and they say all holidays etc are cancelled but not what is happening. When, after receiving a letter,  she asked about a refund they refused saying they would be doing the same holiday later in the year or March 2021 .. her reply.. I'm nearly 90 i might not be here next year and I want a refund !!

has she tried her travel insurance?
  • I too had  booked a coach holiday in March which got cancelled but only got vouchers back, I asked for my money back and they said I could rebook or take the vouchers. I also paid a deposit for another coach holiday  with a different company in June not expecting that to go ahead to Spain. I live wth 2 people at the moment with no income, it is not easy booking the time off where I work they only allow 2 people off at the same time .so am not in a position to just say right I will book the same holiday in October please! I know other colleagues want to move their holidays they booked between April to July to later in the year hoping things will be sorted out but we are not all going to get the same time off, so I dont want another set of vouchers for the cancelled holiday in June I would prefer my deposit back, it is my money, and yes what happens if these firms go bust.
  • They are all acting illegal,  if they have cancelled you are entitled to a full cash refund via method of payment
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

Threaten them with bbc watchdog and other consumer programmes. It should get them to pay up.
