On Screen Keyboard, (OSK).

I have a Lenova TAB 2 A8-50F tablet, a couple of weeks ago I lost the OSK and only have voice recognition which is not very practical especially on WhatsApp etc.
I have gone into Settings where I think I should be able to recover it, but when clicking on Language & Input, (which is where I think it is), I get "Unfortunately, Settings has stopped", everything else in Settings works, just that one says it is not working.

Any ideas how I get my OSK back?

The onscreen keyboard is under accessibility (ease of access)options on settings.

I have already tried all of the "actions" in Settings, including Accessibility, there is no option for OSK under that. Hence why I am thinking it is under "Language & Input", as that is the only one that won't open.

Are you able to connect a physical keyboard to try and work around the Settings issue? (I think that's the root of your issue ... if you can't get into there then that needs to be fixed first).

It is a tablet, nowhere to plug in a keyboard.

It has a USB port.  You could plug a keyboard into it.  You would likely need an adaptor to fit the USB plug on a keyboard and the USB socket on the tablet.

It came with Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box. Chrome is merely the browser.
