As a self employed person running my own business paying for my business rent plus mortgage and bills etc Ive been looking into savings....as I am already using savings to keep house/pay all bills etc...it doesnt last long and not sure till end of June whether I will still have a business at all!! My car is in the upper Road Tax bracket.
If I Sorn my car whos mot is due end of April. If I unsorn it within 6 months is the MOT still valid in the extra 6 mths period, or would it need to be MOTd straight away?

Your MOT is no longer due end of April, it will be extended for 6 months no matter what you do.1

If end of April is the original end date it has been extended to the end of October (although you are still responsible for making sure your vehicle is roadworthy).

Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.1 -
Just make sure you don't use it when SORNed as the cost of using it, is very very expensive.
- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
- When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
- "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere
- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's and their rules apply.
