PLEASE HELP - MY MUM HAS A SMALL DOG WALKING BUSINESS - WHAT BENEFITS/GRANTS IS SHE ENTITLED TOO ?

My mum owns a really, really, small dog walking business. She's had it for years and has her regulars and has been enough to keep her ticking over. My mum has her own car, which she is still paying for a mortgage and at the moment, due to corona virus, has wiped out her business. Since some of her clients have been laid off due to corona or are in quarantine.
I was speaking to her today, however, she seems to think she is not entitled to any help or benefits ? Is this the case ?
She filed her tax return for this year. I'm so confused and want to help her but i don't know the system, or what she is entitled too. As at the moment, feels like if this is not sorted soon, it will eventually lead to even bigger problems. Can anyone help or offer advise to the situation. Thanks.

She'll need to look to see if she's entitled to the self employed grant, details here. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/claim-a-grant-through-the-coronavirus-covid-19-self-employment-income-support-schemeIn the meantime if she doesn't have savings/capital of more than £16,000 then she should look at claiming Universal Credit. Using a benefits calculator will tell her how much she'll be entitled too, if anything. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/

If she's had it for years, has she been filling in tax returns every year?
If so, she should be fine - use the guidance posted above, and she'll be able to claim for lost income.0 -
