I am a real novice so please be kind :) I too recently transferred a very small pension to a Vanguard SIPP choosing LS60 for the cash to go directly into.  The Vanguard site currently states the order status is pending (date 13th March) and no holdings as yet. It is only worth £8600 but was wondering with the markets situation at the moment if its wise to leave it to progress as normal or not. It does give me the option to cancel but I'm not sure where that leaves me. Please could someone explain in very simple terms:)
I have been transferring as well but only cash but when that cash is cleared I have been buying
The cash does take a number of business days to show up - even with the former pension showing 0 (mine have been on average 6 days)
When you purchase funds there is a time that the funds can be ordered by otherwise it goes to the next day, funds values are calculated overnight as well. Miss those two and there is a chance that it may take 3 working days for the fund transaction to be executed
I can't tell you whether buying now is a good thing or not - many other threads on that.
