Discount software for students

Hi,

Found a website that offers discount software to students. Money off Microsoft software for students and their parents.

One example, and the one I have bought is Windows Vista for £66!

Grab a bargain... www.rm.com/thebasement

These guys seem to have copied www.Software4Students.co.uk, they even seem to haven taken their FAQ's and cashback for schools idea, good for consumers though, should see a great price war

I bought Office Professional Plus 2007 from them recently - received within 5 days! Good service and it's much cheaper than the 'student and teacher' edition.

You clearly missed out on the 'Ultimate' edition that was posted on here quite a lot!

I have never been in such sites who gives discount on softwares for the students. Will anyone please tell me how does that work? How do they know the one who is shopping is a student or not?
  • Hi Deelip
I recently purchased Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended Student Edition Version for £155 as opposed to £700. The software came within a couple of days and with it was a form which I completed ie with my details and course details. I then scanned both sides of my NUS card and the completed form into my computer and emailed it to Adobe who emailed me a code within 2 days. You can then use this code to access the software. Basically anybody could buy a Student Edition software but until you get the code it's useless.

NO because my college doesn't give me a .ac.uk email address I decided to go with software4students. Personal preference and I got everything I needed still for a price that i thought was much better than the student version or the full version. Clearly other students on my course did as well because three of us in a class 5 bought it here. Also any parent of a child at one of the listed schools can access this offer - methinks a much better deal in all.
