in Credit cards
i have had a credit card with natwest for 25 years and always payed it in full, 3 months ago my credit card number changed, i tried to pay my bill in full as always using credit card services and it was rejected. i have since had my credit limit reduced from £6800 to £675 even though it was natwest's fault that they did not except my payment. this is discusting behaviour from natwest and i havce apealed it only to be told no because i live abroad. this is typical discusting behavior from natwest in their treatment of a loyal customer. if you are thinking of joining natwest please be careful and look around at other banks and how they treat their customers then decide which bank suits you best

I am not a Natwest customer but would be interested to know if you are even allowed to have a Natwest UK credit card if you permanently live abroad?0

So we take it that you had updated the payment with your new card number?
Sounds more to me, that they have realised you are not a UK resident now, and have decided to minimise their risk.Life in the slow lane1 -
I’m guessing the £675 figure was also around the balance on the card, effectively blocking it ?

I think the others are right, the limit drop seems to coincide with your confession you live abroad, and is the most likely reason. NatWest are aware chasing a debt abroad is more problematic so limiting their exposure to the risk.0
