Tesco Credit Card - Reduction in Credit Limit

I've had multiple credit cards since the mid-1990's and have always paid off the balance on the statement in full, via direct debit and have never missed a payment. Over the years, from time-to-time I received a letter from one of my credit card providers telling me that my credit limit had been increased without me asking.

However, I recently received a letter from Tesco Bank telling me that they are REDUCING my credit limit because I have only used a small amount of it in the last 24 months.

Has anyone else had such a letter recently?
Why the sudden change, I wonder?

Yep, I’ve had the same letter.
I haven’t used the card much in the last two years because I have another 0% purchase card.
There is an option to keep your current limit: www.tescobank.com/keepmylimit

It's due to them making the best use of their available funds.

It's not a sudden change, just that it's the first time you've experienced it.
