Dealing with an IFA in person or via video call?

I am in the process of looking for a IFA and intend to have initial meetings with 3 to find the one I am happiest with overall. I have found one local so far and hope to find another, I am also considering using Pete Matthew from meaningful money, although that would have to be conducted by phone or video chat.
Has anyone used someone like Pete who they only deal with by phone/video rather than face to face? If so what are the disadvantages to dealing in this way?
Is it best to deal with someone local or not?
Even if we go with a local IFA we might move away in the future and would end up dealing with them in this way if we wanted to stay with the same person?
Just wondering what other people think about this?
Thanks
Dave

It's like any other service: what works for you and the service provider? For many people, nothing beats a face to face meeting and a chance to assess each other in person. In other cases, that simply isn't feasible for whatever reason - but for my money (no pun intended!), I'd always want to meet someone in person before signing up with them. After that, dealing with them by phone, video call, e-mail or whatever is much easier.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0

I would possibly agree if the person was completely new to me, but as I must have watched 30+ of Pete’s videos going back to 2010, I feel I know him a bit. I like his video as he tries to explain things so anyone can understand them.
I guess I can have the initial meeting with the 3 I choose and go with my gut feeling 🤔0
