Last Wednesday I bought a cheap smartphone as I've never had one. Only problem is the battery is separate but there appears to be no battery compartment to put it in! The "instructions" that come with the phone are useless. I don't want to force the back off if it's not meant to come off, any ideas? It's an Alcatel 1 phone.

Thanks for the replies, didnt think of Youtube as I don't use it. I've tried taking the back off using my fingernail but it won't come off, unlike in the video so will try a screwdriver later!!

Try a plastic knife. Less likely to mark the case.
