Probate timeframe

Probate went into Winchester probate office start of December acknowledged and fairly straight forward has anyone got any idea of timeframes? Are the probate delays getting any better as I hear the back log is not as much?
Anyone in same situation ?

If you've not heard anything further (either getting the grant of probate, or had a query raised by the probate office) within 8 weeks, e-mail probatefeedback@justice.gov.uk. I understand that they will then endeavour to expedite things for you.

I put probate into Winchester in October 2019 and received the probate in mid December from a different office!


The delays of last year are reducing and now seem to about 6 weeks to receive probate (if straight forward).

We dealt with the Harlow branch and did the online forms mid December and I posted the Will last Thursday, we had a email confirmation that it had gone through and got the paperwork yesterday. So around a month.
