Have you tried the Freshonia brand tomatoes from Lidl?, usually retail between 32p and 35p a tin. Seriously they are soooooooo good you don't need to use tomato puree along with them. So thick in the juice I sometimes need to go twice with the swirl of water to get it all out
Thanks for the tip - I will definitely try this when I run out of tomatoes!

Just wanted to say you can get the 5litre bottles of washing up liquid from Farmfoods. They are a bargain price and saves on plastic over 6-7 smaller bottles of the same quantity.
I also got bulk packs of loo rolls and washing power on the same trip.
Cooking oil can usually be found in huge bottles in the “world foods” aisle of any big supermarket, along with rice and flour.
World foods and baby isles have a lot of stuff cheaper than is found in other parts of the shops. I used to get babywipes instead of makeup wipes until I discovered makeup erasers. The makeup eraser/magic eraser is the best thing I've ever bought, I bought a pack of 3 for £15 five years ago and still use them every single day with just water to get even waterproof makeup off. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Another C0stc0 member. We bulk buy shower gel, hand wash, kitchen roll, shampoo, toothpaste. Then when on offer our toilet rolls, tea bags etc from supermarket.
We have 4 adult men at home so go through vast quantities of shower gel etc and I drink tea copiously !!!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I stock up with anything I use regularly, when I see it cheap or reduced or when I am at the "cheap" shop. I live in a rural area so its not often I get to big shops.Bookers own brand loo rolls are cheap and dont upset the septic tank, firelighters intended for resale are cheaper than local Tesco. A new bulk buy discovery is sacks of bird food and fat balls. I always stock up with stuff if I place an online order to a supermarket too....Asda washing up liquid is cheap and good, as it the Smart Price washing powder, so I bulk up my orders to Min Spends with stuff I can store. Also love Radox powder which is hard to come by here, have been known to stick 10 boxes in my basket!
  • I've bought 15 litres of liquid hand soap! Just decant it into dispensers that I mostly picked up from eBay or charity shops. Saves on plastic too as it's one bottle compared to lots of little ones!

Where'd you buy it from? Most larger containers I've found have been ~5 litres and cost more than buing individual 500ml ones :(
