Can I claim costs?

Hi all

First post so I hope I stick by the rules!

I've received a Parking (not Penalty) Charge Notice for apparently parking too long in a retail car park. The camera is incorrectly showing that I entered at 4am which can easily be proven wrong as the photograph is in daylight.

As the car is leased, I have been charged a £10 admin fee by the leasing company. My question is whether I can claim costs when appealing an incorrect parking charge? I know its a small amount but its the principle!

Thanks all!

You can claim what you like at the appeal stage but no costs will be awarded unless it gets to court.

Just follow the tried and tested route using the edna basher appeal template for hire/lease cars you will find in post 1 of the NEWBIES. The NEWBIES thread asks you to read it first before you start a new thread.

If/when you are successful, then you should be able to claim the admin fee back from the lease Co because you can show the charge should never have been issued in the first place.

What happened when you complained to the landowner?

Have you complained to your MP yet about this unregulated scam?

What is the name of the PPC please?

DO NOT say who was driving when you appeal...please don't send a bad appeal blabbing about who parked, when you have a Notice to Hirer that probably can't hold you liable as log as you stay in 'hirer' mode when appealing, not 'driver'.

    Which PPC?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
