What is this piece of hardware called?

Our old house had a tall larder cupboard in the utility. It had two cupboard doors - one above the other - which had been connected together so they opened as one. The connecting thing was a small metal strip, screwed into both doors on the inside.

Our new house has a larder cupboard with two doors and I want to fix them together in the same way. What is that metal strip thingy called?! Don't know what to search on Screwfix. :rotfl:

Picture a strip of metal, maybe 50mm long, 10mm wide, couple of mm thick, with a hole at each end... Something along those lines.

Alternatively, a couple of standard gate-type bolts would allow you to connect the two halves together, but easily open them individually if you wanted to.

google 'jointing plate' you'll find them in any hardware store.
