Hot water tank switches

Hi all,
We have a ThermaQ Unicyl hot water tank in our rented cottage, and it has two set switches and a timer switch. We are on Economy7. The question is which switches should be on? The timer is set to run off peak mostly with a little boost in the early evening but I'm not sure which of the other two switches should be on. Here's a link to pic or two for info https://photos.app.goo.gl/kEuepPas4AXueSvT6
Any thoughts would be gratefully received! Have hunted high and low for instructions online but to no avail.
Many thanks!

Google Photos says your album is empty.0

Direct or Indirect?
Twin coil or solar?

What did your landlord and/or agent say when you asked?0 -
Sorry - pics are back. Deleted them but forgot they'd disappear from album too.0

Direct, twin coil I believe. Landlord won't know so would have to track down electrician etc - just thought it might be easier to ask here instead.0

Generally you would need the one that goes to the top heater left off so the one that needs to stay on is the one that makes that light / timer go on and off.0

The heater at the bottom of the tank should be running on E7 only. Leave it on and it will heat the whole tank overnight.
The one at the top is a "boost" heater, for when the tank has run cold. It should be running on the daytime rate. Only turn it on when you need it, then remember to turn it off again. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
