That's not what they said....
They have a steep learning curve if they want to resolve this.
Often the best motivation to resolve these situations is moving back into a house you own.0 -

It’s in the OP. Even 6 years ago I can’t imagine it was that easy to get a sole borrower joint owner mortgage, although not impossible.lemonreptile wrote: »My Wife left her ex-partner 6 years ago. We’ve been married 3 and own our own house.
She owns a half share of the house they shared and now wants to force the sale. There are no kids other than a 34 year old son who has his own place. There is no mortgage.
We’re encountering lethargy and awkwardness and have decided it’s now time to start the legal process. We think we’re capable of doing this ourselves and want to minimise costs.
I believe she needs to apply for a CCJ (how?) and then an Order of Sale.
What’s the process and likely costs?
If anyone can help with links to forms it would be great.

This contadicts no mortgage0 -

We didn’t need to sell at the time so effectively booting him out didn’t seem necessary.
Of course I’d offer help, she’s my Wife. It’s normal.0
