How should I pay for holiday in dollars?

Apologies if I am posting this in the wrong section.

We are going to the US next year, and I have been looking at US websites for tickets, accomodation etc, as they seem cheaper than the UK websites.

My question is, when I pay for these in dollars, should I use my Nationwide CC to get the best exchange rate, or does this only make a difference when using a cc whilst abroad?

Many thanks.

If you buy off a US website, then effectively you are using the CC abroad, so yes. Nationwide is the way to go.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    It's fairly obvious I suppose - I just hadn't considered it.
Anyway, I'm glad the thought popped into my head now, rather than later!
