UKPC Ticket

Received a parking ticket from UKPC.
The car park had a machine that dispensed a ticket for a couple of hours of free parking, after which it costs.
The machine was out of order. So I popped out to shop and returned to see a ticket on my windscreen.
I've looked at the pictures - and it shows my car and the UKPC sign.
Upon inspection of the car park there is another machine that doesn't work and another way down (well out of view) in the car park which works and no signage in the car park stating this.
Should I appeal? Ignore?

UKPC are fraudsters, read this

Nine times out of ten of these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra work.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking CompaniesYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
You should edit your post to remove information about who borrowed a car, who parked etcetera. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.
Parking scammers read these fora.
The advice to ignore has not been given here since the law changed in 2012.
You should read the sticky thread for NEWBIES that was just underneath where you clicked on the
button, then send the appeal template in blue text you will find there.
Send it unedited from The Keeper.
After that, read up on how to make a second stage PoPLA. Get pics of the site and signage as soon as possible in readiness.
Complain to the landowner and your MP about this unregulated scam.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Looking ahead to POPLA ... can you get photos of the broken machines while they're still out of order? They'd come in useful.0

I can and will get those pictures today.0

Should I appeal through their website (because of the issue above) or follow the process in the sticky?0

The sticky thread tells you to appeal through UKPC's website on day 26.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
