MET parking services PCN received 43 days

Hi was hoping to get some advice.
A NTK penalty charge has been recieved from Met parking services dated 03/10/19. This outlined my car was parked within a disabled bay at a petrol station but had no badge displayed.
The incident occurred on 21/08/2019! This is 43 days prior to the date of letter. Can I appeal given these circumstances, and if so how pls.!

Thanks in advance

There is no penalty charge here , just a parking charge notice

Read the newbies faq sticky thread near the top of the forum appealing as keeper using the blue text template , no changes

No blabbing about who was driving either

I doubt it was a penalty charge.

You should edit your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people. ;) The Keeper has protections in law that The Driver does not. Parking scammers read this forum.

Please read the sticky thread for NEWBIES that was just underneath where you clicked on the newthread.gif button and asks you to read it first before starting a new thread, then send the appeal template in blue text you will find there in post 1.

Add a one liner that the NTK arrived too late for keeper liability to apply so the scammers should cancel now and save themselves money. (This assumes no NTD was left/given)

Yes your right, I made a mistake regarding word penalty. It is a parking charge notice.
I will go look now for template and complete.
Just to clarify, are my grounds to appeal based on time length letter has taken to arrive?
And am I under no obligation to have to tell them who was driving?

Sorry for the basic questions, but I have no prior experience with this stuff.
  • Thank you fruitcake for your reply. I will take advice given and edit post NOW!! Lol
I am.going to read FAQs carefully and send template with the extra bit referring to late notice.
    You guys are really helpful.

Just send the blue text appeal as is with no additions, deletions or modifications OR you could add the one-liner as indicated above BUT make sure not to state who was driving.

It depends on whether or not there was a NTD. You haven't answered that question.
And am I under no obligation to have to tell them who was driving?

You are under no obligation and you are advised not to do so. This is explained in the NEWBIES.

  • Yes sorry to update. There was no notice to driver prior to postal notice recieved on 05/10/2019.
Incident occurred 21/08/2019 at 23:45pm where vehicle was recorded/photographed in disabled bay for no more than 5 mins.
  • There was a disabled badge holder in car but no badge displayed

So send the template in blue and add the one liner I suggested previously.

The BB scheme does not apply on private land, but the Equality Act 2010 does. At some point the keeper needs to tell the scammers that there was a disabled person covered by the EA in the car. It will probably be ignored at all stages, but in my humble opinion should be mentioned anyway.

It should certainly be mentioned in a landowner complaint and complaint to the keeper's MP.
