Need a new power lead/mains adaptor for Evesham laptop?

The connector that goes into the laptop is broken. I have tried a multi adaptor from Tesco but none of the connectors fit. Evesham are very difficult to contact, any ideas where I can buy a replacement lead?

  • A Tesco power supply isn't going to much good - it's probably a good job nothing fitted. You can get generic power supplies:

Just make sure it's supplying the right amount of power (this will be written on the Evesham supply.

Lol, the one I had from Tesco is the first one on the maplin page, the silver one only it was £34.99 not £44.99.

Flo, you probably know this but before there is a rush to Tesco today for Power adapters ...
Just make sure that the volt output is the exact same, DC???, amps or wattage can be higher but not lower and the connector is not only the same but has the correct + & - going to the same metal pieces.

    Tried ebay?

It had a variable voltage but there were several connectors for different types of laptops but none fitted mine. Looks like I need to keep trying Evesham which could mean a long wait without a laptop.

I'm not sure if you're deliberately being obtuse, it was a laptop power supply:

This Trust PW1300P Laptop Power Adapter is a regulated AC/DC adapter with 6 swappable connectors for use with many major laptop brands. This power adaptor has AC input: 100-240V [50/60Hz] and DC output: 15/16/18/19/20V [6A] 22/24V [5A] (max. 120W)

Sorry, should have followed the link rather than assume it was the one I bought a few years back.

If you still have that psu, you could always cut off your existing lead that fits into your laptop and on the cut-off end solder it to a male plug that fits your new psu female plug. If the box is not glued, just solder you old one in there.
