Hair pulling time over potential widow's pension.

In the previous tax year I asked for an estimate of the pension my wife would receive should I die. My attempt to agree the figure given me from their explanation were around £50 adrift a week. Every thing is so opaque, so I hope someone can guide me. I shall use this years figures.
We were both born in 1936 and receive individual state pensions under the old system.
The letter seemed to say that my wife would continue receiving her own Additional and Graduated Pensions and inherit 50% of mine nett after deduction of COD.
Experts to the fore, please.

I wonder if this article (and the links contained in it) helps: https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/pensions/article-7301971/Can-inherit-state-pension-wife-husband.html0

Note in particular that as you were born before 5 October 1937 then the appropriate SERPS inheritance rate should be 100%, not 50%. Your wife would also receive an increase in the basic pension based on your contributions to match yours, ie to £129.20. Does this close the gap for you?0

Though some of the info I received is similar to that in the link, we are actually retired. My wife is older than I by 2 months, and on her own contributions (topped up) could retire in 1996 age 60 rather than 65 on my record. That was the time my employer pensione me too. Therfore our situation is different from those in tha article/0

That would bring my calculations to around a fiver out, so that could well be the answer. The rest is very minimally significant. Thanks!0
