Parking Notice Charge

Afternoon Forum
I'm new to MSE and sorry to be the millionth person to ask for advice on this ....
I have received a parking charge notice 😢. I was parked on a little dirt track lay by down a tiny road to go and look at some cars at a car sales place which was to the left of were I parked . I had driven into the car place and there was nowhere to park. I was with my brother and my disabled husband ( blue badge holder). I was not causing any obstruction and it was the closest I could get . I have been in touch with the car sales people who were very apologetic and said it had nothing to do with them and that they had complained many times in the last 6 weeks ( it's been there 6 weeks apparently)
My question is do I even bother to try to appeal as most appeals fail, or do I just write or email them saying I'm not paying it . I have a week left to do something about it , it makes me anxious just thinking about it 😬 .
Many Thanks

An IPC member who presumably you have Googled and read all the stuff about them in Norwich! Absolute pariahs. My question is do I even bother to try to appeal as most appeals fail, or do I just write or email them saying I'm not paying it .PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you for your reply I will have a look although I'm not the keeper but the driver as it's a mobility car for my husband0

So car sales place say they are helpless. Ha ha ha. Ask the so & sos who the landowner is. They will know that. Complain like hell (polite but assertive hell) to the landowner. How is a disabled person meant to get to the car sales place unless car is parked close by? I'd quiz the car sales to within an inch of their life re. the helplessness in addition to insisting on name of landowner. I'd suspect that they could get the landowner to cancel if they really tried.0

Who received the PCN? It is normally the registered keeper, unless it was a windscreen ticket. Only the person named on the PCN can appeal.0
-
My Husband received the PCN as he is the keeper ( he doesn't hold a driving license) so I'm the driver. It was a camera and sent through the post .0

Nice. Check the paperwork for POFA compliance. If it's not compliant they are stuffed.
They can only hold a keeper liable if they use POFA. What ever you do don't name the driver.0 -
It does state POFA in the please be warned bit of the letter . It has my husbands name on it then states " The driver of the above vechile is liable "0
-
That's the whole point. Of course the driver is liable, but if no-one tells them who the driver is___
As waamo said:Check the paperwork for POFA compliance. If it's not compliant they are stuffed.0
