Paid for parking in app but wrong car park

Hello and thank you in advance for any and all assistance

My wife when going into walsall town centre will ring me when she is almost there and I will put the required parking fee for crown wharf through the pay by phone app. This was what occurred on the 04/09/19 when she and one of our daughters went to the light cinema.

It was only when the PCN arrived and I checked the app that I discovered the car park over the road is a completely different entity to the crown wharf car park and in fact is called the waterfront. So i have received a request for £100 reducible to £60 should it be paid by 25/09/19.

I have the text receipt from the app and funnily enough it was valid from the exact time our car entered the waterfront and ran out 3 hours later at the exact time my wife drove away.

Any suggestions of how to approach this appeal with ECP will be gratefully received.

You will be using the template first appeal from the NEWBIES thread to get a POPLA code. And of course doing the mandatory complaint to the landowner in the hope they will agree to step in for an honest mistake, and cancel it.

Then the 3rd post gives POPLA templates, and even if you lose...well you know not to pay from reading ECP POPLA threads where people lost!
