Athena ANPR Ltd/Lidl.

Hi all,

I have tried reading the Newbies thread and have tied myself up in knots.

Today I received an overdue reminder from Athena.

Unfortunately I never received the original parking charge notice.

I made the mistake of phoning them. They were incredibly rude and aggressive. The told me to take the issue up with the Post Office.

According to the letter because I didn't

Pay the charge,

Tell them who was driving the car at the time or

Appeal.

I now have two weeks to pay £90 or they will transfer the case to debt collectors or start legal proceedings against me.

At the time of the alleged incident I was at work in another town!

My partner says he didn't use my car on the day in question either.

Any words of wisdom would be most welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Tpf

No point phoning them EVER, as (and you discovered this yourself) they are only after your money. You could try an appeal (the blue text one in the NEWBIE sticky post # 1) and see what happens. If they reject it or ignore it (which is what tends to happen anyway), sit back, ignore (but keep in a file) all the debt collector rubbish and react only (by NOT ignoring) proper letter of claim and/or claim form from Northampton CCBC

You do not have to put up with such rubbish from Athena.
Assuming you are a customer of Lidl, you need to tell the MD to clip the foul mouth of Athena.
Tell him, you are being threatened with debt collectors and court action. Is this the experience he wants his customers to enjoy ?

  • Le_Kirk & beamerguy,

    Thank you for replying!

I'm currently sending emails to Athena & lidl.
Not quite how I thought I would spend my evening.

    Thanks again,
    TPF.

Christian Härtnagel seems good at telling his scammers to cancel.

Word on the block is that Athena and Lidl are bosom buddies which would explain the Lidl cheapo prices subsidised by a scam
