facetime with my handyman?

The handyman my family has used for years has offered to video chat. He said it will allow him diagnose certain problems or walk me through simple jobs. The reasoning behind is to save time as he could pick up parts/tools on the way to my house if needed or save the trip altogether. Has anyone tried this before? Should I consider it?

what a pointless question, he is offering an easy valueable solution, why do you even need to ask this question lol.0

Why not if he's known and trusted by you?Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

All he will have is your mobile number and you will presumably give him this information anyway for a traditional chat.
As already suggested, if its someone known to you then it sounds like a great idea
(if it was just a random yellow pages/internet ad that might be looking in the background for the layout of valuables in your house then the answer might be different)
Hope this helps0 -
I suppose that if it's good enough for getting medical consultations in the UK, there shouldn't be too much of a problem using video or internet chat for advice on unblocking a sink or similar.0
