or are they all next to a motorway or big A road????
I am looking for a travelodge to arrange a family get together.
I can be anywhere in the UK - but would prefer either a scenic location with nice pub nearby but i guess Travelodges are just not in rural areas!!
Or could be anwhere as long as nice family pub in walking distance.......
any ideas????
thanks

There is a Premier Inn (similar to Travelodge) at Poole - it is set back from the main road but it has lovely sea views and there is a pub attached to it. Can't say much more than that because I have never been in but only driven past it.0

The travelodge in Penrith is close to scenic locations!0

Every Travelodge I've stayed in has been either in an industrial estate and/or on a major road. Therefore, they also have pub/restaurants on the same site. They may be near to scenic locations, however. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

There is one at skipton. Its next to a major road but it is within a short distance to the Yorkshire dales !"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Ely Travelodge is 10 to 15 minutes' walk from the historic centre with loads of pleasant pubs and restaurants.0

Depends where you are travelling from, and how far you want to go I guess. The one in Burford in the Cotswolds is not too bad, although it IS on a roundabout on the A40. But you can walk down into the pretty village of Burford, and there is a nice hotel to eat at (think the Travellodge has a Little Puke, which is best avoided). They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Premier Inn at Killington Lake Service Area on the M6 Southbound at Kendal.
Although the address doesn't sound promising the hotel overlooks Killington Lake. The restaurant has tables outside overlooking the lake. If you want to stay on site to Party not sure that the Road Chef restaurant is the right place. There are nice pubs in Sedborough which is close by.
Tebay Services an Award Winning Service area ( a deluxe service area)is just further up the Motorway.
There is a Travel Lodge in Kendal but not sure of the exact location.'You can't change the past, you can only change the future' Gary Boulet.

The travelodge Inverness "Fairways" is next to a golf course, near a quiet distributor road (B8082). It's on the edge of town so just hills/fields behind it and only a few miles to Loch Ness
Or there's a premier travel inn in the city centre. Nice old building with pubs etc within walking distance but obivously a busier road outside (B865)0
