I know it is not the train but if you want cheap travel then you could try MegaBus
Price for your dates is £18 (per person return)
Places to go - depends what you want to see?
Shows, touristy things etc etcWe all evolve - get on with it0 -
The megabus is cheap, but it is not at all comfortable!
Hogmany is a helluva busy time up here- more so in Edinburgh- thousands of people come for the Street Party etc. This may well impact on your travel/hotel costs.
Woah! just had a look at the Ryan air website- you can fly out on the 28th and back on 31st from London for £10 INCLUDING taxes! I would stop whatever you are doing and book that asap!
If you do fly, keep your Ryan Air ticket, as this gives you half price train travel into Glasgow- Prestwick airport is about 45 mins outside the city.
For ideas of things to see and do, goto seeglasgow.com. Or, let us know more about what you want to see and do, and we weegie boardies will help you out!
