  • Just thought i'd bring this thread to a close. My direct supervisor tried to play the long game and break employment laws as linked in post #7.

    They expected to me commute for over 2 hours to work 2 hours. This of course was the last straw. I managed to get get signed off sick under work stress related issues. In fact my doctor went above and beyond and signed me of until the end of my 4 week notice period meaning I got paid for all the 4 weeks and any untaken holiday on top. I ended up being over £300 better off going down this route.

    ACAS were a great help and was ready to assist me in taking legal action against the employer.

    I'm very happy to have put the job behind me and have been informed last week from a fellow ex-colleague that they have already gone through 3 workers since i left.
