I handed my 4 week notice in, Yay!

I(users partner) have handed my notice in 7 hours before my Tuesday shift last week.
I am using almost 10 days holiday within my notice and seeked advice from ACAS regarding pay and terms during my notice period as until Monday to Friday the week before from my notice period I had been sent home a total of 9 1/2 hours worth.
As per advice from ACAS and government website I can't be sent home or laid off during my period notice. I queried this with a colleague of mine and he has gone and told them the conversation we had.
This has in turn made them seek legal advice from ACAS and the info they got is they can send me home during my period and take money out my final wage.
My contract doesnt mention this or that I am on a WTA contract. ACAS have asked me(advice from 'H') to let them know what they do with my wages and hours.
My manager wants to 'dismiss' me and pay me for the remaining 2 weeks of my contract, But my direct supervisor has overruled his decision.
I need to call back ACAS and ask them why they've told me one thing and the employers another thing.
I shall also speak to CAB as i have been very badly treated these last 2 weeks since I told HR over a confidential call I'm leaving and wanted them to be my referee. They actually broke this discussion and went and told my manager and in turn he has told my supervisor and she has told many co-workers.
I've today been told 'off the record' that there is a huge note awaiting for me when I arrive at work to read. My reaction is to be noted and reported back to the supervisor.
I have done nothing wrong and followed the guidelines to contract details on handing my notice in.... My manager and supervisor have not even acknowledged it and seem to be picking faults with me and chatting to colleagues behind my back.
If there's any 'in the know' people on here that can confirm they can not lay me of work during my notice period and can they with hold money of me without any signed agreement. Even via WTA(IE pay me but take money off my final wage slip) My final wage slip will be 24th August 2019... I can see them taking the hours ive been sent home already.
The supervisor wanted to lay me of last week without pay and now i'm told they want to lay me off and just pay me off to get rid of me.
My partner has agreed with me not to open this note and just work out my final 10 shifts, Then open it after ive gone.
I am the 7th person to leave this company since end of June 2019. We have roughly 17 workers, 1 admin, 2 supervisors and 1 manager. Staff turnover is very high.

How long have you worked there for and what does your contract say about notice periods on both sides? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I have worked there for 4 years 2 months and 5 days. Although i've only had a contract since 1st Nonmember 2017. Work contract says 4 weeks either way.
My last offical contracted day is 28th August, But last shift is 16th August due to taking holiday as part of my 4 weeks.
PS any future replies, I leave for work in 15 mins, Not due home til 7am tomorrow.0 -

Have they agreed this holiday or have you just told them you're taking it then? Even if you have accrued the number of days you want to use they still need to approve you taking them. Even if they had previously agreed those days being taken as holiday they can remove their consent with the correct notice.0 -
Well im now up. They are ignoring my Notice of leaving email dated Tuesday last week.
Instead i received a letter about my contract, which in turn is a different contract i have at home. This one is totally different.
They are not answering my questions, and prefer to listen to hearsay going about the place.
I have just sent another email asking for my questions to be confirmed and to let them know I haven't received a reply from last week. An automated response suggest the manager is on annual leave.
All they seem to be interested in is sending me home early without pay or sending me home and putting time into a WTA which will be docked from my final payslip.
Employment laws suggest they cant do this, But they are disregarding it.
I showed a fellow colleague the laws stated on the GOV website which he has used to overrule something they tried against him before. He said im right, But they want to talk to him about it but not me.0 -
There is no law that stops them sending you home during notice if the contract allows.
They may need to pay you a full weeks pay for the final(statutory notice) week.0 -
Bullet points 3 and 5 are what my query is about:
https://www.gov.uk/handing-in-your-notice/payment-during-your-notice-period
But they just dont want to know. There is nothing in my contract or the 'new' one i have in my hands stating information about a notice period. So feel I have to take the information from the linked website.
Do you have a link i can read which says otherwise. I'd like to build a statement should they take this matter further.0 -

If there really is nothing about notice periods in your written information about the employment contract then the statutory notice periods apply - one week from you (but you seem to have given more) or four weeks from them.0 -
I had been told in person back in '17 it was 4 weeks. ironically there's nothing on paper about leaving the job what so ever after starting the job within the 1st week and the regards paying for the uniform. I thought it said 4 weeks in my contract but looking today there isn't.
Also as the working day for office people has finished, I find no reply to my email.
I want to point out i don't want any contact via phone or in person. I want a paper trail. That any nothing can be seen as misleading and confusing.0 -

If you get anything confirmed by phone, just send an email afterwards confirming what was agree. "Dear Fred, just wanted to confirm what you said in our conversation earlier today: ..."
That way you've got a paper trail which they can come back on if they disagree.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
They dont want to talk to me, Only go through a colleague as partially pointed out previously. In turn this has made me not want any contact via calls or in person.
Ironically the email i sent yesterday as been confirmed to be ignored by my manager and instead he forwarded it on to HR instead. They have got back to me.
Thankfully the colleague i work with has confirmed I am right and they will no longer be asking me to go home early. They seemed to have fought against it until the colleague highlighted what i have linked above.
So the conclusion is with my remaining 8 shifts I am to continue as normal. Also funnily enough they don't want to send home my colleague as they actually feel there's enough work to keep both of us in. Funny how quickly that changed.0
