Nope.
Just googled them and they are another debt company. It's possible Cabot have sold your debt on as they can't obtain the agreement.
How old is the debt?
When did you last make any payment towards it?
Keep your Cabot letter safe as you will need that!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Debt defaulted two years ago, made no payments been asking them for agreement for that time. Had the letter off them few months back saying they cannot find it.0

Then in that case they can't issue court proceedings as they can't prove the debt.
If they do, defend it with the letter.
There is also a letter kicking around about unenforceable debt, they can chase and you can ignore or make a lowball offer to tell them to FO

Its common practice for companies such as Cabot, to sell on debts with questionable legal paperwork, to another collector to try their luck.Floopy2009 wrote: »Yeah that was my plan of action just was concerned who these people were as very little on line about them
You just inform them (in writing) the account is currently unenforcable due to Cabots non compliance with your statutory request under sec 77/79 CCA 1978, and therefore you will not be paying this debt.
Chances are you will have to rinse and repeat with another collector in the future, or as above, make a low offer to settle once and for all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
