Ifa Hourly Charges?

Hi

I know there are some IFA’s on this site. I wonder if anyone could tell me roughly what it would cost on a fee basis, not commission, for an IFA to help me sort out my pensions. I’ve seen on this site that £100 per hour may be the norm, is that about right?

Fee basis can come in 3 ways.

1 - by the hour and £100-£150 is the sort of range you should be looking at.
2 - fixed fee for the transaction so you know exactly what it costs.
3 - hybrid where you agree a fee but have it paid out of the commission (quite good on pensions where the fee is deducted from the pension but you have benefited from tax relief. i.e. £1000 fee but you only pay £600 net equiv if you are a higher rate taxpayer).
