No they don't, and none should be asking such a vague question. Can you link to any examples of that precise question being asked?
Questions should be clear and unambiguous, e.g. has the property ever been entered by floodwaters (or in the last x years), is the property within x metres of a watercourse. I'd be interested to see an example of an insurer asking such a poorly worded question in respect of flood risk.0 -
