I work in a school. Recently, I was told that a student had e-mailed my LM saying that I smelt of alcohol and I was informally interviewed about it. I don't drink alcohol! Matter closed but:
1. Can I, under FOI ask for a copy of the e-mail to see who it was because I suspect it was a staff member who was in the same classroom?
2. I think the 'student email' was a cover to hide the identity of the person who sent the email.
Thanks

I don’t think FOI covers what you are wanting & even a SAR would exclude any other individuals name.0

On a tangent. Let's assume that there was no malice involved, and someone actually did think you smelt of alcohol. Have you been tested for diabetes recently? Have you been fasting, do you have digestive problems, or might there be another reason why you might possibly smell this way?
Sorry, I hesitated for a long time before posting this, but the thought kept coming back to me that a genuine mistaken smell of alcohol could be an indicator that something is wrong health wise....Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

Or had you used mouthwash? Some of them have alcohol in them. There are a few reasons why the smell may have been detected without you actually drinking.0 -
