Car Finance history check

Hi Folks
Apologies if this is in the wrong section, my question is a simple one hopefully.
I recently bought a car on finance, 3 weeks down the line i had some issues with the car that the dealer did not deal with properly so i purchased my own history report and it flagged up a mileage discrepancy which has happened in a 14 day period between mots at the dealership. Its clearly a clerical error as car mileage went back by 7 miles no big deal , but as it flags up as dont buy on my check and will effect my resale value, so why did the finance company not tell me and are they supposed to?

thanks

Your job to check the vehicle is as advertised and upto par not the insurance companies.

7 miles out.. I doubt HPI say dont buy it with just a very minor mileage issue.
