Motorbike cut me up and I hit him

Hi
I was involved in a minor accident.
I am very sure it was an insurance job.
I was driving along a straight stretch of road, and I saw a motorbike speeding up behind me from my rear mirror.
Next thing you know, he cuts me up, i brake just in time and don't hit. Obviously I horn. He is about to drive off and so am I, but he suddenly brakes again and I hit the bike a little. My front left hits his exhaust on the right his bike. Now I know, as I am the one who hit from behind, the blame will probably fall on me, especially since i have no dash cam to prove this.
We stopped, and he was adamant he didn't want to go through insurance, and wanted £700 there and then. I said no, he calls the police. Police were cooperative, and essentially told us to go through insurance. He has my details, I have his. No problems. He did have insurance btw.
BUT, obviously i know i am not in the fault because he cut me up and I essentially didn't have enough time to brake (the 2nd time), but i hit him from behind (or the side; the front left hit his bikes right hand side).
He was extremely aggressive, wouldn't let me get in my car as I genuinely thought he would get physical. I wanted to exchange insurance details asap but he wouldn't, hence he called the police, who ultimately said, you are grown men, deal with it in the way you both see fit.
Additionally he made me park on zig zag lines so I am pretty sure I'll get a ticket for that. Is there a way to get out of this if i do? Saying I got in an accident and tried to move as soon as I realised i saw zig zags, but he would not let me in my car.
I just wanted some advice please to how to proceed with this. Shall i contact my insurance first? Should I wait for his people to get in tough with me first? Shall I wait it out?
My first ever accident so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
(There was a passenger in my car to witness this all btw)
Thank you.

You should have contacted your insurer before now

Not to do so is a breach of the policy conditions

Do so now and refer the third party to them if you get any contact. Tell them all about the incident as you have here

In the unlikely event uou hear any more about the parking then that's a separate issue between you and the court if you intend to dispute

Read up in your policy on what to do when involved in any incident that can result in a claim

Thanks. I have to wait till tomorrow to call the insurance company as they are closed.
Am I to mention to them exactly as I have mentioned above? Anything extra I could add (or take out) in your opinions?

He probably was looking for an easy pay day, hence the £700 he asked for.
Just keep your head and do as Quentin suggests
Write down everything as you remember it.
If you can email it to your insurance company beforehand and let them know that you will be calling tomorrow to speak to some to go over the next steps.
    Good luck

    No.

Just tell them your version of events

No need to mention the "illegal" parking you are worried about!

Too much information and things can get out of hand.
Just the facts of the accident, nothing more

OP - just a warning. Despite what you think, if the accident happened the way you've written it down then it's 100% your fault.

Motorcyclist cuts you up, you both stop, you blow the horn, incident over.

You pull away again and go into the back of him - so it was clearly not safe for you to pull away.

Yes, he probably brake tested you (and you failed). However, whether he brake tested you or had a legitimate reason to stop again this does not alter the fact that you were not driving with due care and attention.

get a dash cam, they are under £100 online, might save yourself some grief
