Unpaid overtime

Hi
I hope I am posting in the right place for this.
I was underpaid this month by about 40 hours of overtime, I am going on holiday in 2 days and have budgeted for how much I should have been paid but work initially said I would have to wait a month to be paid the missing hours until next months payday. After a lot of running around my work said they would make a manual adjustment in my wages this week.
I have been paid today but the missing hours still haven't been paid, will the manual adjustment go through separately or would they have been paid at the same time as my wages?
Thanks

Only your employer can answer that to be honest. (there is no hard and fast rule - technically there's no guarantee of any pay or wages)0

We can only speculate your employees next moves, as Comms69 says, you'd be better off just asking them when you can expect to receive these additional monies.Know what you don't0

Ok thanks, I am trying to reach them but the guy I spoke to is now on holiday and the others aren't answering their phones. I have 2 days before I leave and this will cause me some problems so I hope I get it sorted before then.0

Unfortunately your employer will follow their own policies on this, and although they are not saying they wont pay you, you need to be prepared that they might not in the next two days, so be warned.
When this happened at my old place, they would only run it on the next payroll cycle.0 -
I think you need to resign yourself pf the fact that this money wont be paid before you go, it could be done while your away. Maybe it missed the deadline for it being in your wages and it will come separate.0

I've been in a similar situation once but with sick pay.
After some heated words, they eventually agreed to pay it and a lot sooner than the next pay run. It was in my bank account within 2 days as a manual payment.
Had to really force the issue, though, and make a big deal about how I couldn't support myself financially and would likely have to quit and claim constructive dismissal.0 -
Ask if they will advance you an amount approx to the value of net pay you're due, they can then sort out it next pay day and deduct the advance.0
