Am I entitled to a payslip for holiday pay when leaving a job?

I left a job in April and I am due to be paid for my unused holiday allowance.
I was told I would be paid this at the end of May and my P45 will be issues shortly after.
Am I entitled to some sort of payslip or document breaking down how my holiday pay has been calculated?
Thanks.

No. You will get a payslip with a set number on it. depending on when your holiday year started; it probably wont be much.

It will have a number of hours (or similar) on there, but not the calculation. Which to be honest is fairly easy to work out.

Thanks. Am I entitled to request this payslip if I am not provided with one?

Yes (ish). I mean you have very little leverage to enforce it.

It might be easier for you to post your holiday entitlement and year here and we can tell you what you're entitled to be paid - gross, though as your current income will dictate.

The thing is, you can only enforce your rights via court and lets be fair. no-one is going to spend ££ on enforcing the right to see a piece of paper

Thanks. I have worked out how much holiday pay I am due. I'm asking because my previous employer has underpaid the holiday pay due to a fair few staff members who have left in the past, and has not provided departing staff members with final payslips. I will be sure to request a final payslip from them for myself.

If you are underpaid, just go to small claims court.

But as I say, given you left in April, your holiday pay is unlikely (statistically speaking holiday years are April - March, or Jan - Dec; it can be any combination, but those are the 2 most commonly used) to be much.

If it's not what you're expecting then ask them for a breakdown, if you still think they're wrong send your calculation to them. If it doesn't get resolved them bring a claim for the difference but I'd speak to ACAS or CAB first.

if you get a P45 in May and have an April payslip you can tell how much extra gross you have been paid in May from that.
Our payslips do say number of days pay @ rate (1/260th i think for holiday pay on leaving), legally they have to issue a payslip.
I'd just write to them when you receive the P45 (if no payslip) and say you were expecting to be paid for x days and it doesn't seem like you have, please provide the calculation.
