Travel insurance for 16-year-old son

My son is going on a school trip to Swaziland in July (part adventure, part charity work). There is travel insurance for the trip itself, but we need to get insurance for the period before then, in case he has an accident and cannot go.

Does anyone have an idea of the best way to do this solely for a minor? I don't want to get worldwide annual insurance for the while family, as we don't need in and I am presuming we can do something a lot cheaper, rather than leaving things to luck. Thanks.

Are you sure the insurance arranged doesn't cover this?

Check the policy wording to see what is and isn't covered

If cancellation cover is not included then see if a local broker ( not Swinton) can help with this - as his trip includes work then a standard off the peg policy may be unsuitable
