Arrow Global

Quick question, I was discharged from bankruptcy on Dec 4th 2018 and I've been trying to sort my credit file but I'm fairly confused by it all.
The majority show settled and the correct date however Arrow Global who took over my MBNA credit card debt are still showing status: default and are updating each month. It also still shows the original balance where all other cards/debts show £0.
Its displayed under the settled/closed section on the credit report but is it just that they're lazy and haven't changed it to settled or do they generally leave it as default? Do I need to contact their credit controller to get them to update the records?
I guess the problem with all of these credit report websites is they all show different information and things are closed on some which aren't on others so I don't know where to start, and who to contact for what.
Apologies if I'm being dumb. I know there's the credit clean up sticky at the top of the forum but I really just don't get it!

    Hi,

Basically all your accounts should show as settled, with a zero balance, any defaults should show a date no later than the date of your bankrupcy.

If any information on your file is different to this, send a written complaint to the creditor concerned, explain why your complaining, if you remain unsatisfied, contact the ICO for help.

  • Thanks! So should the settled date be 1 year after the bankruptcy started/the discharge date, or should it be post-dated back to when the bankruptcy was filed (as it was completed and discharged)?
Looks like I have a fair amount of work to do on the clean up
  • Also does everything have to be done by post or can I just email the companies. I've read a lot about postal templates to send but I wasn't sure if this was still the case and if they'll accept an email...

As I said, the date of your bankruptcy, not your discharge date, the date you went bankrupt.

    Everything in writing always.
