Want a loan- but only at headline rate.
In September i will likely be looking to borrow some money.
My credit file is perfect.
Having used eligibility checkers i get multiple companys with 90%+ acceptance chance for loans circa 3%.
I only want the loan if the interest is around that percent, any more than 5% i am simply not interested.
So my question is:
If i apply for a loan and find i dont get the headline rate, so therefore i decline, will i have done significant damage to my chance of getting a loan with another lender?
TIA

If you haven't applied for any finance in the last 6 months, then 1 or 2 applications won't have much of an impact. But if you don't get the rate you want, you'll have to wait another 6 months before trying again. Though chances are, if your credit history is unblemished, you won't get a better rate than now in 6 months time unless your circumstance change a fair bit.0
