Glasgow to London - Cheapest way?

Hi,
Want to go to London next Friday(23rd) for the night, from Glasgow. However flight prices at cheapest from PIK & GLA are 70pounds rtn. Which is more than i want to pay. The train is the exact same
-Is their a cheaper way??

Scotrail are doing deals on berths on the caledonian sleeper at the mo - for £19.99 single - that of course will get you straight from the centre of Glasgow to centre of London.

This will then mean you dont have a hotel bill either.0 -
Unfourtunately the deal on the Caledonian is not available next week -& Easyjet flights are even more expensive than Ryanair. Its this Friday night i want to be in London & its looking like in taking the day long adventure that is the bus :-D

Look at SINGLE (discounted) train tickets, and investigate journey splitting (as described in the article). Try splitting at Birmingham and/or Crewe.
Also investigate travelling via Edinburgh on GNER trains.0 -
How about National Express Coaches? They're quite cheap - cheaper than the train or by air anyway.0
