Insure & Go auto-renew problem
dossan
Hi,
I got a travel insurance renewal letter from Insure & Go.
It said it would auto-renew on 21st April unless I called them.
So I called them today and they told me their system does not have an auto renew set up for my policy, but if the auto-renew does happen, to call and request a refund.
This is a bit concerning that they have such poor grasp over my policy and payments...
Any thoughts on whether this needs to be raised with someone like the Financial Conduct Authority? For me, I can just make a call and demand the refund if needed, no harm done. But this is poor handling of customer's financial details and surely someone needs to look at it?
Worth the effort?

Not really!
Admin errors happen.
Whenever you are not happy with your insurance company the route to go down is a complaint in line with their complaints procedure
Then if you are not happy with the reply or they ignore you for 8 weeks you can escalate to the FOS for their adjudication at no cost to you0 -
Thanks. Makes sense.
Admin errors do happen, as you say, but this one particularly surprised me. Felt clumsy...
Back to the day job :-)0
