Tenant Fee Ban - Can fees still be charged for contracts starting after, but signed before 1st June?

So tenant fees are finally coming to an end on 1st June. My current tenancy of 18 months ends on 3rd June. Of course I'll need to find a place quite a bit before then and am wondering if I will still be charged fees if I sign a contract before the 1st June for a tenancy starting *after* the 1st June, since that will be the likely scenario.
Any advice much appreciated

Agencies can still charge fees till the 31st May, as you are looking now you will still have to pay their admin fees. Any contractual fees for tenancies that end after the 1st June can still be charged till the 31st May 2020, so if your agent has a check out fee in the current tenancy agreement they can still charge this.
Your new tenancy will prohibit this as it will be starting after the 1st JuneThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
