Hi everyone, its has been a long few months wait.

I had my court hearing on 12th July and got the set aside granted.
CEL did not turn up. After the 14 days deadline I did not hear anything from anyone so I contacted the court who advised me that they were 5 weeks behind issuing paperwork so the 14 days would actually count from the date of their letter.
The letter was finally issued on 8th August.
Nothing was received again within the 14 day deadline so I contacted the court again who told me that the claimant had written to them to explain why they didn't go to the hearing therefore the case had been referred back to the judge.
Finally I received a court letter dated the 24th Sep outlining that the original court order was still valid so I believe the 14 day deadline for CEL to send their evidence is today.

    What happens now?
    1) If I do receive their evidence then presumably I have 14 days to file my defence?

Do I need to send this to the court directly or CEL or both?

    Will there be another hearing?

    2) if they do not send me their evidence by 4pm today?
I assume they will need to pay me the court fee?
Is there a deadline for this?

Do I only get a chance to lcaim for expenses in Scenario 1 as part of my defence?
If as per Scenario 2 they deside not to continue with their claim then all I can get back is the £255 court fee?

    Thanks for your advice

Nine times out of ten of these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
