    If one lost their job or became too Ill to work then yes it would.

    But even as a sole buyer I won't be borrowing the maximum I could in case of loss of job / health declining.

    But don't take to heart the comment in your other thread, only you know your full circumstances and plan for paying the mortgage in all circumstances.
