Car Insurance - Recovering Access

Hi,
My car was hit by a construction company lorry and I have a witness who saw the accident. I have reported this to my insurance company and they are saying that the 3rd party insurance company do not have to acknowledge their fault even after the witness statement has been sent to them.
I need to get my car repaired and will have to pay £500 excess and this is not recoverable by my insurance company as the 3rd party will not admit liability.
I am left to recover my costs as I don't have legal insurance add-on to my policy.
Any advice on how I should proceed?

You could use Small Claims Court. You don't need a lawyer and it doesn't cost much. Takes place at your local court and the judge will be reasonably sympathetic.
In most cases the company will just pay out. If there is a witness it is unlikely that they will be able to mount a successful defence if it gets that far.0
