New flat - am i entitled to view drawings / plans?

Hi - ive bought a new place (leasehold) and after purchase I have been told I cant view the plans that the property was built to. I guess this is because they somehow remain the property of the builder so that's why they wont let us.
I just want to see the final electrical plans etc and to check that it was built as per plans.
Is there anything I can do? It seems odd to be able to buy a place but have no right to see how it was built!

Usually this would be asked for before completion0

have you checked the local planning department portal? It should show the drawings for planning permission although I believe the building control drawings are not public0

Any plans submitted for planning or building control should be viewable at the relevant council department, though you probably won't be allowed to get copies of them.
As above though, it's a bit late in the day to start raising queries like this!0 -
I viewed drawings prior to completion, however it is new build and off plan. I now want the final drawings (things changed a bit in the 9 months since planning in some small ways).
The planning portal showed some of the basic plans but not the full detailed ones unfortunately but thanks for that.0 -
